Billy and I met in Lincoln, Nebraska while we were both working at one of the hospitals there in town. Several years later (like about 12) we met again and discovered that we were both single and began a renewed friendship that developed into the best thing that has ever happened to either of us.

Billy was born in Benkelman, Nebraska, and grew up in Benkelman until his family moved to Greeley, Colorado when he was thirteen. From there he joined the navy to see the world which was just exactly what he did. He loved his years in the navy, got married, had a beautiful daughter, and looked forward to a wonderful life. Always the optimist , his love of life, great sense of humor and ability to make everyone he meets feel like they are the most important person in the world has served him well. After the navy he became a plumber following in his fathers footsteps. He is retired now but keeps busy doing little jobs and taking care of me! His hobbies include traveling, visiting with friends, keeping up on current events and helping anyone he can.

I was born in Daggett, Michigan Dec. 6, 1948. I weighed almost 10 lbs and was 3 weeks late in arriving at the maternity home in which I was born. Dad kept telling Mom Daggett was just around the corner as soon as they got in the car to go to the home. When they got there it was very cold and dark but Dad wanted to get Mom into the home as soon as he could. Consequently, the car lights were left on and he ran out to turn them off. When he got back inside I was there. I had a childhood filled with church school, piano lessons, playing rook on Saturdays nights, sledding parties on the hill, gardening in the summer and canning in the fall, then eating all that good stuff all winter long. I graduated from Wisconsin Academy in 1966, attended Andrews University for one year and then went to Kettering College of Medical Arts. After one semester there Tim Berger came to enter the radiology technology course. It was my pleasure to introduce him to a girl that lived next door to me in the dormitory whom I had grown to know and love, Christina DeHart. As time went on they fell in love, and married. Chris and I graduated from the first class at KCMA in 1969 and I have been working full time as a nurse ever since. For the last 30 years or so I have worked in radiology in the cath lab and interventional radiology. We live in Phoenix, Az. and have since 1981 when we got married.
